![]() As Hart and Van Berlo pulled away, Geesbreght found himself in a battle with the Silver class-leading #34 Conquest Racing/JMF Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT4 of Michai Stephens, who had battled past Kenton Koch in the #92 Random Vandals Racing BMW M4 GT4 for the class lead. When the race got going, Hart held the early advantage, while a determined Kay van Berlo in the #7 ACI Motorsports Porsche passed the #68 Smooge Racing Toyota of John Geesbreght for second place. The field was down to just 42 cars for Race 2, as crash damages from Saturday’s race forced the #54 Black Swan Racing McLaren Artura GT4 (Tim Pappas/Jeroen Bleekemolen) to withdraw. Jason Hart started Sunday’s race from pole position in the #47 NOLASPORT Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport that he and Matt Travis drove to the overall win in Race 1. The last time an Am class team took an overall win in the series was back in 2019 at Sonoma when Jeff Burton and Vesko Kozarov won for Rearden Racing – back when GT4 America was split into “East” and “West” regional championships. It is the first time since GT4 America went to a uniform race structure of 60-minute, two-driver races, that an Am class team won overall. Thank you for the warning though - had we known during Black Friday, I likely would have ordered elsewhere. An unexpected overall winner emerged from Race 2 of the Pirelli GT4 America series at Sonoma Raceway on Sunday – as the #20 Carrus Callas Raceteam Toyota GR Supra GT4 of Nicholas Shanny and Terry Borcheller, an Am class car, finished first after their Silver class Toyota stablemates at Hanley Motorsports were given a time penalty for a pit stop violation. It sucks to pay the extra, but it's still cheaper than buying locally, by hundreds of dollars. Ultimately, I paid the extra money and received DHL shipping information upon my request, and my seat should be here by Thursday. I honestly feel it's just an unfortunate set of circumstances though. I did at first and sent a couple of nasty emails to them before I looked deeper into it because I felt I was being scammed. While it's unfortunate, I don't blame Murray for this. They still have An Post/USPS (the economy option) listed as a shipping option, but it's priced at over $2,000 with the label "OVERSIZE - USE DHL." I thought the situation was fishy also, so I checked Murray's website. Since An Post relies on Royal Mail to get packages to the US, they have no alternative. From what I found, the problem isn't with An Post or Murray, but rather with the UK Royal Mail refusing oversize international shipments right now. ![]() I did a little research on the subject, as well as contacted some international members of my iRacing team. I ordered a Sparco Circuit II before Thanksgiving, it shipped An Post November 25th, sat in Ireland until December 16th when it went to London-Heathrow, was contacted by Murray on December 18th with the same request. So I just wanted to give a heads up to my US based members that if you want to order something from this company and you pick economy shipping there is a good chance you'll end up waisting a good amount of time just to be asked to pay more money for an issue that is not your fault. Pretty much pay us $120 extra or we will cancel your order. They did not offer me anything for this issue besides asking me for more money. I could of ordered from another company during black friday sales and already had a seat by now. I expressed to them that I am not happy about it and I dont think that its fair for me to have to pay them an additional $120 after waiting already so long. They stated that the seat will be returned to them and I have to pay an additional $120 on top of the $60 that I paid for shipping in order to have them ship it via a different carrier. I placed the order and selected their economy shipping option which was around $60 and takes 12-20 business days to receive, which I was totally cool with since I have another seat to use in the mean time.įast forward about 20 days after my seat was marked as shipped, I receive an e-mail from Murray Motorsports stating that the shipping service that I selected is no longer shipping to US even though that they already shipped the seat. It was my first time buying from this company but reading up on some reviews it seemed legit. I recently ordered a Sparco Grid Q from Murray Motorsports (Black Friday).
